Alex started his events career with Children’s Aid Direct, before moving the team to CARE International. Alex then joined NDCS as Head of Events before becoming Director of Fundraising at a London hospice. In December 2008 he set up UKMC to deliver a complete events service to charities and companies. Alex is a qualified mountain leader, MIinstF (cert) and helped develop the Institute of Fundraising’s Codes of Practice for outdoor challenge events. Over the past 10 years Alex has organised over 50 challenge events in the UK and overseas, raising millions.

Ruth Coutinho has 6 years experience of fundraising and events gained from working at BBC Children in Need and the National Deaf Children’s Society. She has a passion for customer service, and generally making the world a better place. Often last in the office, but always first on the dance floor, she creates events that ensure clients, staff and supporters are energised and engaged 100%.
